Though the child of two major Hollywood stars, Sosie Bacon looks set to break away from her parents' success and make a name for herself in her own right.

Sosie, the daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, made her first appearance on the big screen at the age of 11 when she acted alongside her mother in 2005's Lover Boy. Her thirst for acting continued when she appeared next to Sedgwick again in the hugely popular US TV series The Closer (in which her mother plays the feisty protagonist Brenda Leigh Johnson), now however she's broken away from her family ties and is filming the indie flick Off Season directed by Robert Cole, due for release in 2014. Her burgeoning success looks set to continue after being propelled into the public eye and named Miss Golden Globe 2014, a title bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to the daughter of a Hollywood celebrity who must now assist with the forthcoming Golden Globes ceremony.
